Here are some images of the style of food and flavours we love. Our menu is seasonal and changes often reflecting the abundance of tapas now enjoyed throughout New Zealand, Central Otago, and the Cromwell basin.
We are proud of our food and, as a Cromwell Restaurant, we hope our menu reflects the diversity of Central Otago produce whilst allowing you to enjoy food and flavours from around the world.
We continually seek out new producers and suppliers who share our passion and love for food. We are constantly amazed by the expanding list of artisan producers and growers living in Central. Any Cromwell restaurant would be spoilt by the choices we now have.
Tapas and sharing menus are becoming more prevalent around the world as they afford diners the opportunity to have a social dining experience where they enjoy a range of flavours rather than just a single plate meal.
Sharing plates work very well for large groups or celebrations, food keeps arriving during your evening and allows you to talk freely with your friends and fellow diners.
Move around the room, sit and talk with new or old friends all whilst enjoying new dishes. If you’re interested in the origins of this type of food you can find more information here
The most important thing to remember is to leave any inhibitions you may have behind and try something new – from Offal ( and all the nasty bits ) that we love to a new twist on an old favourite.
If you’re new to this style of eating why not try our “Feed Me” option – We’ll talk to you about your likes and dislikes, any dietary issues and sometimes most importantly, how much time you have!
Once we know your likes or dislikes, we can suggest a menu for you. If you like, we can match wines, keep the menu a surprise or even add or remove items for you.
